Christmas Partiess!!!

Seems like ages since i last updated...so sorry people, but this is due to many good reasons. Firstly, i am working 5 days a week and after work, i am usually really tired which only leaves me time for chating+cooking+eating and then Zzz. Secondly, on my day off, i am too lazy+tired to do anything and i rather play computer game+laze all day long...hehe i kinda like this bumming thing ^.^
Well for starters one of the few things that happen the past few weeks is that i got cal in for my pharmacy interview...woohoo!My interview was last monday and only days b4 the interview that i realise...I got NOTHIGN TO WEAR for my interview :(

After work on friday me+raesher went to town in hope of buying a formal suit for my interview which cost me like NZD130 in total...i am too kiam siap to pay this amount just for one interview...But luckily my cousin eddie jsut came up to AKL a couple weeks back and he happen to had one so i end up borrowing he;s..well he wore it for he;s job interview and did get the job so hopefully that luck would be on my side too ^.^

Ok enuf for the bs now to the main event....

I know its a little early to celebrate xmas, but this was organise by the hotel m working which is City lodge hotel. There was a few events going on such as cookie competition+treasure hunt and we the housekeeping crew decided that we would all prepared some food for everyone. we actually expected our manager to buy some food as he didnt know we were preparing something, well but we thought wrong -.-'' i wonder wat the party would be like without our food :p

The treasure hunt contest. Participants (in group of two) were to travel around the city via free bus or by leg if u have really good stamina, collecting 6 brochures in the allocated spots. Duration: 2 hours.

The party started at about 4 pm and i went back around 9.30 p.m as i had work still the next day..Apparently some of them were stil drinking and went clubbing till like 3 am in the morning..Wish i could have joined them sigh...but oh well..It was a really good afternoon and everyone enjoyed it alot....I love my job :))))

Coca Cola Christmas In the PArk!1( 13th Dec 2008)

For the 5th year now, Nz have a coca-cola christmas in the park where ppl gather and listen to performances from Nz artist which would last about 2 hours and would end with a displays of fireworks. I was actually reluctant to go at first but i had promise ina and my other work mates that i would go and so i went in the end. DAren motto: Never promise someone if u cannot fufill the promise. ^.^


On the way to Domain where the coca cola Christmas in the park held. The road was block and no car was allow to pass through and therefore we had to walk. Didnt expect so many people to be there.

Lemon Cheesecake (15th Dec 2008)

Well i promised keli that i would bake her a cheesecake for helping me out with my chocolate cheesecake..I was suppose to bake it one day b4 the party which is on Wed 10th Dec 2008 as it was my day off but i am TOOO lazy and decided to laze around the whole day :) At 7 pm i was about to start baking when i realise that, the groceries store near my place doesnt sell alot of the ingredients i need which includes baking tray :(

So after looking at a few minimart near my apartment i decided whether i shud make something else. BUt as i said, i have promise Ina and the rest i would make them a chocolate cheesecake and i ALWAYS keep my promise ^.^ End up walking to foodtown which is like 30-35 mins walk to buy it..It was almost 10 when i started baking and therefore i ask keli to help me as i wont finish it in time at the rate..she was reluctant at first as she just got back from work and also cause she wouldn even get to eat it so i promise her that i would make her one hehe and again just me keeping my promise ^.^


Ingredients: Cream chesse (2x 250g), two bottle of Lemon Jam, sugar, 300ml of full cream, and crackers

1) Smash the crackers (approx 8-10 pieces according to how thick u want the crust) using either ur fingers or a flat object. (make sure its clean ^.^) Alternatively, you can just buy a premade graham cracker crust.


2) Add about 30g-50 g of melted butter and again its up to ur preferences..personally i like butter alot and therefore i add about 40g of it.


3) Spread it on the baking tray until it is well compressed and flat


4) It should look like this. Put into freezer for at least 30 min but i advice 40 min so the crust is well harden.


5) In a large mixer bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer


6) Add in 1 bottle of the Jam and 1/4 cup of sugar. ( I added 1/2 cup but it was kinda sweet as the jam is really sweet, so for those who doesnt like it two sweet 1/4 cup would do) Beat until smooth.


7) In a separate bowl, beat the full cream until its turns thick


8) Mix in the full cream with the cream cheese and mix it until well blended.


9) Scoop the mixture onto the crust which is now harden


10) It should look something like this...Put into freezer for AT LEAST 3 hours but recommended 4 hours.

Final product

Open the other bottle of jam and spread on top as the final step..You now have a super yummy lemon cream cheese..According to my work mates, its as good as the ones u get in the bakery..hmm maybe i shud be a baker ^.^

To make the chocolate cheesecake, instead of using the Jams, mix in 1 1/2 cup of melted chocolate chips. As the chocolates arent as sweet as the Jam, make sure u use at least 1/2 cup of sugar or more if u prefer it sweet. And again for the topping, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and spread on it which can be seen at the xmas party :)

Shopping (17th Dec 2008)

Normally on my day off i would just laze around at home. But one of my close friend Iris from hong kong just came to visit from dunedin. She will be staying at my place for 2 weeks and therefore on my this day off, i decided to acc her shopping. We went yum cha aka dim sum at New market with pinko and Min about 11. After that me, min pinko and iris went to dress smart to do alittle shopping. I always wanted to go there as it is one of the cheapest store around and i havent been shopping in ages. Even when i do shop, i end up buying nth as mention in previous post. Therefore i was determine to get something today....

Well compare to iris which bought like 10 pieces and spent like 300-400 this is nth but oh well i am so happy that at least i got something...I am running out of clothes to wear as most of my clothes are either too small or too old now..Hmmm maybe m stil growing :p

HONG KONG here i come.....

Well it was just all talk at first, but i am going to HK woohoo...just bought my tickets from airasia on Thursday for RM690 leaving on the 13th of Jan-17th of Jan. My cousin got her ticket for RM629 and she invited me to go with her.Seeing that it was so cheap i started planning for the trip. I was planning it for a week and have already decided to go on Monday but i had to wait for my pay on thursday b4 i could get it and it became RM690 then when i got it like 3 days later :( but oh well m soo looking forward to it. I asked both my sis to tag along since it was cheap and two of my frens from Guangzhou would meet us there too and of course most important can go with you lor hehe ^.^ Since last year i make it a point that i travel somewhere every summer b4 i start working and get too old to do anything :p Was planning to go to taiwan after Xmas but it was sooo expensive so i guess HK would have to do...ll leave taiwan for next year ^.^

Because of this trip m getting soo broke and out of budget so i have to eat noodles for lunch now :( I used to buy pies which is like NZD2.50 or if m feeling generous ll get a lunch box for NZD5.50 but starting from this week i had been eating noodles as i dont think ll save enuf b4 i go back at the rate m spending, eventhough its not much at all :p But after two days of eating noodles, i decided that its really unhealthy and therefore i decided to start making my dinner+lunch hehe....wat i made yesterday was........

Fried Rice

Ingredients: Sliced button Mushroom, fish balls and ham

One packet of adabi Perencah Nasi Goreng...oh wait actually two packet :p

1) Fried some crushed garlic before mixing all the ingredients together and frying until golden brown
2) Add the perencah nasi goreng and fry for another 5 mins.
3) Add rice
4) Add two eggs after its well cooked (apporximately 5-10 min)
5) Fry for another 3-5 min

Result: Despite its look, it taste really good wahaha...Hide you did it again!!!!

This is what i made for dinner tonight and also for my lunch tomorrow ^.^ wuwuwu my sis have been eating out this days as her bf is here..i really wanted to go with them but i have to save...NZD10 dollar a meal is too much for me :( So despite working for 8 hours today, i have to come home, shower and cook...after dinner i normally just surf the net, chat on msn and then sleep...how interesting my life is.

While at worked today, me and raesher realise that we forgot to bring our keys, normally keli is at home but she's working day shift today so NO ONE is at home....omg!! On weekdays, the office is open and therefore they could open it for us, but being a sunday there wasnt anyone working so we decided to call the building supervisor which happen to live like 2 door away from us....So we explained our situation and KNN he wanted to charge us NZD25 just to get he;s lazy ass off the couch and walk two door away to open our door for us....and to add it up he was like, "i could charge you up to NZD50" m like %^&$^&%....so i told him no thanks ll just go have a drink while waiting for my sis to come home...

But instead we went dog hunting....well not actually hunting dogs but go around looking at dogs for sale as raesher bf Don wanted to get one. So after looking for 2 and a half hours he decided to get a Maltese for NZD1200

Even though i had a good day, one thing that is bugging me right now is my swollen forehead :( During work today, i was cleaning the toilet which happen to have a wall mounted foldable bench..something like this

Well the difference is ours is twice as big and its super heavy...Being the hardworking guy that i am, i fold the bench in order to wash the walls below..and just my luck, while i was busy cleaning below, the bench fall back down hitting my forehead....It hurt soo bad i didnt know wat hit me.Mom have always commented that i have very hard skull :p i think if its someone else, they might have die from their skulls busting open or bleeding to death....Grrrr soo have to get compensation from my boss...Anyway its stil hurting now so m off to bed...7 am work tmr...will update soon ciao

Woke up 7.30 this morning despite only going to bed at 12.30 last night. I guess m just too used to it. Well since i had nth to do, i decided to share a post on one of my favourite song atm. I cant believe that when i search 約定 on imeem, the only ones that pop up was the ones by guang liang..Seriously this song by 周蕙 is 1000 times better than guang liang's 約定. So in the end i have to upload the song to imeem myself. Well m not complaining since i have sooo much free time and nth to do :p I have been listening to it for almost a year now and i am still not bored of it. And the lyrics is just so meaningful...i first heard this song in ktv i think when one of my fren sang it, i instantly felt in love with it.

Day Off!

After working for 12 days straight, i finally get a day off. My day off was suppose to be on tuesday and wed but as mention in my last post, one of my co-workers took a day off on tuesday and i replaced her. And coincidently, another co-worker was sick on wed so they call me early on wed morning to see if i wanted to replace her...just my luck wahaha. Well part of me is happy cause i can finally get some rest, but on the other hand i felt like going on working as i really need more $! So what did i do on my day off? NOTHING....all i did was watch movie, play dota, surfing and MSN...It was soo boring. Time seems to pass so slowly, and the fact that i woke up at 7.30 am didnt help at all..I WANNA WORK!!!!! I think i am officially a workaholic :p

Well since i am working like everyday i didnt do much at all. The only thing interesting this week for me was....

The Phantom of the opera ( November 15th 2008)

Well this is the first real musical i have been to and i have to said i enjoyed every bit of it. From the opening scene which takes place in an auction in paris which showed the shattered chandelier from the incident of the phantom of the opera been restored and fitted for electric lights. Then the main play begins..not a single sec did i take my eyes of this brilliant performance. All together, the musical was 2 and a half hour long with a 20 min interval in between. But i must have enjoyed it sooo much as it felt so much shorter than that. I was thinking NZD100 is alot but its well worth the money. I highly recommend those who havent seen it to get ur tickets NOW!! Try to get the middle seats at the bottom which i think would be the best seats ^.^

On sunday, me and my sis raesher went for hot pot aka stimbot at Mt albert with two of my classmates as it was one of my classmate Siwu bday on Nov 11...hehe how cool is that 1111 ^.^ I did bring my camera but i guess i was too busy eating as i totally forgot to take ANY pictures :(

Anyway m still thinking wat should i do tmr since its also my off day. Theres so many things i wanna do, so many things i wanna buy...But....but....I only have 20 dollars in my bank acc since i just bought my air ticket to Msia for the 31st of DEC :(
I guess its "berakit-rakit ke hulu, berenang-renang ke tepian, bersakit-sakit dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian" ^.^
For those of you who dont understand...this is a famous peribahasa /proverbs which means if you work hard first you will have a easy life later on. Therefore i am willing to suffer this two months...so i can enjoy in Msia and hopefully HONG KONG (still planning :p) yeah!!

Shopping again+ new hair color!!

Was planning to update my blog yesterday but was pretty tired+lazy after work so decided to postpone it hehe. Worked for 9 hours yesterday only finish about 4. It was keli's turn to cook last night but since both of them had exams in the afternoon she didnt felt like cooking. So i had to settle my own dinner. And here was what i had...i shall call it Daren's Sandwiches


Ingredients
1) Button mushroom
2) Luncheon/bacon (i used luncheon cause its cheaper..i cant afford bacon u know ^.^)
3) Onion
4) Crushed garlic
5) Cheese


Firstly sliced up the mushroom, onion and luncheon/bacon. Mix them together and fry them until its golden brown. Add salt and pepper accordingly. Estimated time: 5-8 mins


Serve them on top a slice of bread spread with butter. Add a slice of cheese and bake in oven until bread turn crispy and cheese melted.

Nice day out

Today was suppose to be my day off since i have been working 5 days straight, but one of my co-workers told me that she wanted a day off today and therefore i told my supervisor that i would take her place..call me crazy but i was soo happy yesterday when i knew i could work today ^.^ i really need more hours/money.....neeed to earn as much as i can before going back malaysia. Well but it wasnt a busy day today as we only had like 19 rooms due out..me and my sis were quite disappointed when we saw the schedule...cause that means less hours..Man i think m becoming a workaholic..But anyway we end up working for 7 hours which is pretty good i guess.

It was such a good weather today..the sun was shining brighly and its not windy at all. Summer is officially here yay!! So after work i decided that i would go out shopping and have a walk since it was such a lovely day, and i ask my sis to accompany me which she did. (I am no girl and therefore i dont like walking alone/window shopping) End up leaving the house at 4 pm which only gives us like 2 hours of shopping :(

Xmas is coming so they had this huge santa on display above Whitcoulls. During shopping on friday only the boots were up. I was actually planning on taking the process of it but i guess they are very efficient at their job..toook wayyyy faster than i expected :)

Well after about one hour of shopping i have gotten nothing for myself while my sis got like a skirt and a top for herself. Wait a min......i thought it was you accompanying me shopping...hmmm

Well i decided that i had to get something for myself so after walking for awhile we entered this shop on high street? where i was trying on some shirts. I couldnt decide which one to get and therefore took some pics to compared them hahaha

I actually decided on the black one, but it cost NZD 100!!!! Tell me why does guys clothes cost sooo much more than girls clothing sigh...every single piece that i like cause at least NZD80 and above even for a freaking T-shirt.In the end, I decided to look at other places first before deciding whether to buy or not but it was already 6 and the shops were closing :(

So at the end of the day, i only got myself this......

New hair cut+color

I cut my hair a few days back as it was getting a little long...well maybe alot, and so after dinner i decided that i should change my hair color as well...and the color i choose this time is..................AUBURN RED!

I got this courtesy of my fren Roaane.Thank you sooooo much Ro for giving me the hair dyes hehehe i guess this would last me a year ^.^ To top it off, its all Loreal which is like one of the best brand out there..i normally just get the budget ones which cause like NZD13 where as these would easily cause twice as much.

Even the bottle looks better...comes with a whole bottle of Shampoo/conditioner (the right one). And i could immediately tell the different, as with the cheap budget one...it would have a strong ammonia smell and would sting a little...but with LOREAL i couldnt feel any pain/discomfort at alll when i applied it.

Final hair color

To be honest m quite disappointed with the color as i expected it to be errrr brighter..but oh well this would have to do for now b4 i change it again next month since i have tons of hair dyes now wakaka

Ok i guess that sums up my event for this 2 days.....i am off to bed now since its almost 1 am, havent been sleeping this late for awhile now. Even though i have a day off tmr, i plan on keeping a healthy lifestyle lor..was planning to go to the gym tmr as i just found out being a YMCA staff you get to used their gym for free...woohooo!!! But it depends if m feeling lazy or not wakaka.

News+update

Firstly i have to start of by saying how freaking pissed i am...GRRRRR!!!I have been working everysingle day since finishing my exams on thursday..that means waking up 6.30-6-45 in the morning. Having slept pretty late on friday night, i was soo tired and was hoping to have a good night sleep, only to be disturbed by the freaking fire alarm..well it wasnt that bad as it only lasted for a few mins but it still woke me. Probably due to that, i had a massive headache yesterday after work at 3 and was soooo sleepy but had to stay up because 1) i have to buy groceries 2) i have to cook since both my sis are having exams on monday. I took like 2 panadols, fight through the pain, went groceries shopping, cooked dinner and then eat which was already like 10..So i decided that i shall have a good night rest tonight.Slept around 10.30 thinking ll get enuf sleep tonight only to be awaken by...........................THE FREAKING FIRE ALARM AGAIN....GRRR assuming that it would only last a few mins i tried to ignore it. But it was going on and on and on until it became so loud asking us to evacuate the building..So m thinking...hmmm maybe there is a fire. Got up put on a hoody and was ready to walk out of my door when it stop. !@#&*$^&*!$ can u freaking imagine how pissed i was at tat moment. Election 2008

Well i guess most of you by now would have known that obama is the new president of US. If you belong to the minority that dont know...i got no more to say to you. Anyway last night was NZ general election which the National has won ending 9 years of labour party ruling under Prime minister Helen Clark. National leader John key will be forming the new goverment.

Watching changes happening around the world, watching how the americans are willing to put aside racial differences and electing someone who is HALF BLACK being their president. America in a way is very much like Msia, where the country is made up of many different races where the white americans make up the majority and the african american the minority and also asian american the countries 2nd largest racial minority. Well much like the malays, chinese and indian in msia. Did you know that even up till the 1960's the black in america wont even allowed voting until the 1965 Voting rights Act established? 43 years from that, and they can progressed from a racially divided society to one nation who would accept a freaking black president. As for msia where are we not after 51 years of independence and after 49 years of the 1969 racial riots that broke out? We are still at the same point where listed companies have racially determined quotas of ownerships, where getting into University or a scholarship depends on whether you;re a 'bumiputra', where people cant have any sort of freedom of speech without being arrested by the ISA, and especially where NO CHINESE can be the freaking PM.

In the 1950s and 60s we were one of the most progressive countries in south east asia and after 50 years we are being compared to the likes of thailands, phillipines and indonesia instead of being up there with countries like Singapore. Who is to blame? How long does it take for people to realise that its not the race you belong but the most suitable guy for the job? Are they stupid enough to keep fighting for racial problems instead of the countries well being and prosperities? 50 years under the ruling of BN and where do we stand?

I really hope that the people of Malaysia would open their eyes, and learn from the Americans. to put aside all this nonsense and choosing a path for the better of the country and choosing someone most capable to run the country regardless of he's race.

Ok enough complaining for a day..i shall rest my mind and body now as i have work 7 am tmr which mean i have to wake up at 5.45...NOOOOOO!! Oh well..为了你，辛苦一点也没关系吧！！

Finally over...

After almost 2 weeks of suffering , two weeks of stressed, two weeks of sleepless nights, two weeks of diet and fast food...finally the day has come!!The day that i've finish my exams yeahhhhhh!!!
Never in my life have i stayed up for so many nights with only an average sleep of 3-4 hours for 4 nights ( ok maybe i did when m playing dota) but not for exams lor....Man i just cant expressed how happy i am that its all ova.....m so tired and hungry now that i cant think nor type no more..so m gonna leave it here....
